  Use your Mobile Phone to send the text message “NOLA” to short code 222377.  Upon receipt of your message, you will receive one (1) entry into the promotion.  Normal carrier charges will apply based on your current messaging feature subscription.  In addition, a one time premium fee of $1.00 shall be charged to your phone.  A text message will be sent after the keyword has been received confirming double opt in regarding the premium fee.  Entries containing any inappropriate material or language, including profanity, will be disqualified.

Week 1 -- July 6 at 12:00am- July 12th at 11:59pm
Week 2 -- July 13th at midnight - July 19th at 11:59pm
Week 3 -- July 20 at midnight - July 26th at 11:59pm
Week 4 -- July 27th at midnight - August 2nd at 11:59pm

Log on to www.ForeverNewOrleansTV.com/contest to register online.  Once on the website, click on any of the Text to Win banners and/or buttons to direct you to the contest page.  To be eligible for registration, you must click the “Agree to Contest Rules” button to be sent to the registration page.  Once on the registration page, fill out all the required fields and click on the SUBMIT REGISTRATION button to complete your registration.

  2. Deadlines - Promotion begins at 12:01 am PST on April 6, 2008, and ends 11:59 pm PST on April 30, 2008 (the “Promotion Period”).  All electronic entries, via text message or via online registration must be received by 11:59 pm PST, April 30, 2008.  All prizes must be claimed by May 31, 2008, and all prizes must be used by December 31, 2008.  
  3. Participation:  Promotion is open to legal residents of the 50 United States plus D.C.  Employees and their immediate families (parent, child, spouse, sibling) and household members of employees of The Travel Channel, Forever New Orleans TV, or Pet Bird Entertainment and their respective affiliated and parent companies, advertising and promotion agencies, respective directors, officers, employees, any participating artists and management agencies and anyone involved in this promotion’s production, development or handling are not eligible.  This promotion is subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations. Void in Puerto Rico and where restricted or prohibited by law.  Winners will be responsible for payment of any taxes on prizes.
  4. Charitable Donation:  A percentage of all revenue received shall be donated to charity.  Ten percent of the net allocation to Pet Bird Entertainment, LLC, received from carriers for premium SMS charges shall be donated to the following charities:  5% (five percent) to Global Green, New Orleans, and 5% (five percent) to Desire NOLA, New Orleans, a group aimed at helping small businesses in New Orleans.
  5. Winner Validation: Winners will be randomly selected on or about May 5, 2008 from all valid entries received. All submissions are subject to validation by Pet Bird Entertainment, LLC. By entering, you agree to be bound by these Official Rules and all decisions of the judging organization. You also agree that if you are a winner, Pet Bird Entertainment, LLC, has the right to publish your name and photograph in any of its promotional materials or affiliated websites identifying you as a winner.  Potential prize winners will be notified via telephone or mobile phone text message. If an email address is provided then we will attempt to contact the winner by email.  If a potential winner does not respond within 3 business days then the prize will be forfeited, and it will be offered to another Potential prize winner.  Potential winners will not be notified via United States Postal Service.  Potential prize winners may be required to sign and return, within 7 business days after delivery to his/her address, an Affidavit of Compliance with these Official Rules, a Prize Release and a Publicity Release for use of his/her name, likeness, and biographical information without further compensation unless prohibited by law.  Failure to sign and return these forms within the designated time may result in forfeiture of prize and selection of an alternate winner.  Entry materials void if incomplete or if they contain errors.  All submissions become property of Pet Bird Entertainment, LLC
  6. Prize and Odds:  ONE (1) Prize EACH WEEK for a total of FOUR (4) PRIZES:  Prize Week One: week of April 6th (sixth), 2008:  Two nights stay in a standard room at the Hilton Riverside hotel, New Orleans, valid until December 31, 2008; One $50 (fifty dollar) gift card to Dragos Seafood Restaurant, Two passes to the Audubon Aquarium of the Americas in New Orleans; Two passes to the Audubon Zoo in New Orleans, Four passes to the Global Wildlife Safari in Lacombe, Louisiana; A family pass for Four (4)  to the Louisiana Children’s Museum in New Orleans. 
    Prize Week Two: week of April 13th (thirteenth), 2008:  Two nights stay at the Harrah’s Hotel in New Orleans good from now until December 31st, 2008; Dinner for Two at Besh Steakhouse in New Orleans, including appetizers, entrees and desserts for a total gift certificate of $150 (one-hundred fifty dollars) value;  One (1) piece of vintage jewelry with a minimum value of $125 the Magazine Street Antique Mall.  NOTE:  Must be 21 years of age to stay at the Harrah’s Hotel New Orleans.  Prize Week Three:  week of April 20th (twentieth) 2008,  This week's giveaway is a 2-night stay at The Whitney - A Wyndham Historic Hotel, Complete meal for two including appetizers, entrees and desserts at Herbsaint Bar and Restaurant, Two tickets reserved table seating for any available show at Le Chat Noir plus a bottle of champagne., Demonstration cooking class and lunch for two at the New Orleans School of Cooking, $25 gift certificate at Angelo Brocato Ice Cream.
    Prize Week Four:  week of April 27th, 2008:  A two-night’s stay at the Hotel Monteleone in the F. J. Monteleone Suite; two (2) American Breakfasts for two (2) in the LeCafe at the Hotel Monteleone; Complete lunch meals for two, including appetizers, entrees and desserts, water tea and coffee at Oak Alley Plantation in Vacherie, Louisiana;  Two (2) welcome mint juleps (must be 21 years of age) and a guided tour of Mansion with self-guided tour of the grounds at Oak Alley Plantation;  Two passes to the Haunted History Tour in New Orleans: (Approximate Retail Value varies by Contest).  Normal warranty guidelines will apply if applicable.  Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received.  No substitution or transfer of prizes, except with Sponsor’s permission or where required by law.  Hotel room type is not guaranteed and can be substituted at any time.  Winner must be at least 18 years old as of May 5, 2008, with a valid driver’s license and social security number, with the exception of Harrah’s Hotel in New Orleans, which requires a minimum age of 21 years of age.  Winners must abide by terms and conditions set by hotel, restaurant and attraction companies, which will be furnished at the time of award.  Prize will be awarded from entries received in response to promotion on the Forever New Orleans TV program hosted by Karen Carlson and aired on The Travel Channel on April 6, 2008; April 13, 2008; April 20, 2008; and April 27, 2008.  Prize will be delivered by overnight courier to the winner.  Transportation to and from, and within, New Orleans, will not be supplied.
  7. General Conditions:  By entering, you agree to release, discharge and hold harmless The Travel Channel, Forever New Orleans TV, Pet Bird Entertainment, LLC, and their respective affiliated and parent companies, directors, officers, employees, advertising and promotion agencies including artists and management agencies from all claims or damages arising out of your participation in this promotion and/or acceptance, ownership or use of any prize.  If for any reason any electronic portion of the promotion is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or other causes which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the promotion, Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with any entry process, and to award prizes among eligible entries not affected by the problem. In case of any dispute regarding identity of person submitting an electronic entry, the entry will be deemed submitted by the natural person who is the authorized holder of the transmitting email address or text messaging device/service at the time of entry. No responsibility is assumed for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, busy signals, communication network failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of entries; or any problems or technical malfunctions of any wireless or wired telephone network, computer online systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software; or failure of any entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on any telephone or internet connection, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to your or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials from this promotion.  No responsibility for lost or misdirected mail. Pet Bird Entertainment reserves the right to substitute any and all parts of the package for prizes of equal value.  Winners are required to complete an IRS W-9 form to redeem prize.  Winners are required to sign a liability release before receiving any prizes. Winner assumes all liability for rental of vehicle.
